Leytonstone Labour councillors have worked with local residents to produce a short film about the appalling state of a footbridge in Leytonstone.  The film, A (Foot) Bridge Too Far, is being sent to Peter Hendy at Transport for London as part of the local campaign to get TfL to sort out the footbridge.

This short film is available on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS-XCZPgBlA  and on the local Leytonstone web site www.leytonstonelabour.org.uk.

It shows footage of the poor state of the footbridge including the graffiti as well focusing on the unpleasant design.  Various local residents have contributed their comments about the footbridge.

This is part of an ongoing campaign by local councillors in Leytonstone to get TfL to improve this footbridge which is used by hundreds of residents every day.  Every household in Leytonstone has received a leaflet about the campaign.  Residents are being encouraged to write to Peter Hendy, Commissioner Transport for London, London Streets, 84 Eccleston Square, London SW1V 1PX. Or e-mail him at: londonstreets@tfl.gov.uk
